Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant began the workouts Tuesday in his hometown of Lufkin, Texas, with the 40, posting times of 4.52, 4.68 and 4.52 seconds. He measured in at 6-foot-1 1/2 and 224 pounds, and he had a 38-inch vertical, an 11-foot-1 broad jump, 4.48-second short shuttle and 7.21-second three-cone drill. Due to the hand-held times at workouts, you’ll see 40-yard dash times between 4.49 and 4.60 for Bryant. NFL.com
I heard that if he wasn't sub-4.5 that his draft stock was going to drop. But, it doesn't sound like teams are turned off by the 40 times.
he was expected (by me) to run a 4.55 so a 4.52 is actually a little better than I thought he would do. My main problem is he seems to lapse in concentration at times and this results in drops. When he's got his mind 100% in the game he's awesome.
