Olympian Jeff Demps will sign a contract to play for the New England Patriots, according one of Demps agents, Nohemy Baltodano. Demps rushed for 2,470 career yards and 23 touchdowns with the Florida Gators but went undrafted in April when he chose to focus on his Olympic career. He did not attend any college football all-star games or take part in any NFL draft workouts. It was speculated Thursday that Demps might chose to sign with the New York Jets, with the possibility of reuniting with Florida teammate Tim Tebow.

I honestly don't really know anything about him. Someone want to tell me if this a good signing or not?

Hard to say what he's going to do in the NFL. He could be a good speed option, maybe return team. But, as a starting RB ? No. Probably just a chance on seeing how he performs in preseason.

hes the faster one between him and rainey but rainey was the better football player. Hes a natural returner, but hes not a good receiver and hes a terrible blocker. The patriots can find a role for him if they can find a role for danny freaking woodhead, but if it came down between them i think woodhead has the edge since he can block and catch better
