The 49ers have signed right tackle Anthony Davis to a five-year, $37 million extension (including $17 million in guarantees), CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has confirmed. This means that Davis, the team's first-round pick out of Rutgers in 2010, is signed to be in San Francisco through the 2019 season. The news was first reported by PFT and ESPN. This could be the first move of several by the 49ers to keep the young talent they've developed. Others likely to have their contracts extended at some point in the future: guard Mike Iupati, quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and wide receiver Michael Crabtree -- all first or second-round draft picks taken in 2009 or later, and all with rookie contracts set to expire in 2015.
