Richie Incognito has filed a non-football injury grievance against the Miami Dolphins for his "indefinite" suspension as a violation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, according to ESPN. Under Article 43 of the CBA, the maximum a club is allowed to suspend a player for conduct detrimental is four weeks plus an additional game check. Source: The Sports Network DaBears22's Take: Looks like Incognito has the right file this grievance according to the article. Why don't the Dolphins just cut him at this point? Martin has said he won't return to the team unless Incognito is gone so do the Dolphins view Incognito as more valuable than Martin at this point? What do you think?
yep, they probably should have just suspended him for 4 weeks while they decided what to do with him if that is the proper procedure. Now, they may have caused themselves a problem with a technicality.
Isn't this what the Eagles did to Terrel Owens? Although that part of the CBA may have changed since then, and TO may be the reason it did.
