The Green Bay Packers have stood by Seneca Wallace on two separate occasions when they had a chance to reunite with former backup quarterback Matt Flynn. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday's edition of NFL Network's "NFL Total Access Kickoff" that the Packers plan to work out Flynn at some point soon. Source: NFL.com DaBears22's Take: I believe the Packers only had two QB on the roster including Rodgers so they need at least one other QB besides Wallace until Rodgers comes back. Wallace hasn't exactly lit it up so if Flynn goes to Green Bay he might expect some playing time.
Why not? At this point they have nothing to lose by working out Flynn and it's not like Tolzien is a proven NFL QB.
This! Although he might be the smartest bastard since JaMarcus Russell. TWO GAMES! He's had two good games in his career and has banked $6,000,000 signing bonus from Seattle, $2,000,000 in salary from Seattle, $3,250,000 signing bonus from Oakland, and $3,250,000 in salary from Oakland. Now this is a heckin businessman right here.
Thats why Flynn is living on though: 2 very good games for Green Bay. Im guessing his workout didnt go too well though, as there hasnt been any news about it or them signing him. He left Green Bay on good terms (both he and the Packers knew he would get more than they were going to pay a backup) and he didnt go to a division rival, so Id love to see him come back but Id be surprised if it actually happened.
