Quarterback Graham Harrell is being paid more than twice as much as any of the other seven players on the Green Bay Packers practice squad according to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Based on salary information obtained by the Journal Sentinel, the Packers are paying Harrell $12,500 per week compared with $5,700 per week for everyone else. "They were nice to me," Harrell said Friday. "Obviously, I was excited about that. It just made it a sweeter deal." Last September, the Packers took the unusual step of paying tackle Breno Giacomini $7,500 per week, well above the practice-squad minimum of $5,200. The Packers had reason to pay more to Giacomini because the Minnesota Vikings wanted him on their practice squad. This season, the Packers showed even greater resolve in retaining Harrell, who had been waived on the cut to 53 on Sept. 3. Source: The Redzone
