Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports Packers LB A.J. Hawk was caught flipping the bird to the Packers sideline after a first-quarter sack. Before long, screen shots of the action were all over the place and Hawk had to address his action after the game. "I guess it was on TV," Hawk said in the locker room after the game. "I definitely wasn't mad or upset with anybody. It was kind of a running joke with a couple of my teammates. I got caught up in the emotion of the game. Sometimes you forget that it's on TV. I definitely want to apologize to anyone who's kids were watching and got offended or anything. I understand. I'm sorry that got out there." Hawk said he couldn't say who the teammates were and what the joke was. "Multiple teammates," he said.

For those of you who haven't seen Skip Screwface's take on this, do yourself a favor and don't. He actually says AJ should be suspended for at least 1 game. I swear I want to piss on his cold dead body.

"My kids were watching" says Jane Housewife. Yeah well use it as a teaching moment not a soap box snitch. How many times a game do the audio guys pick up a heck or bullcrap on the sidelines? I hate people that think society owes there kids any damn thing.

No crap mush. People expecting TV to have built-in parenting lessons. It's stupid. Take responsibility and tell your kid that's bad. Don't expect the freaking TV to do it for you.

And Skip Bayless is a douchebag. I hate that hecker.

I was ready to go in on this subject but Mush beat me to it. This is football, and I bet the same parents who are snitching have their kids in a football league or at least will sign them up at some time. I went to a Lutheran private school where we had a middle school football team I was on and the coaches cussed like drunken sailors. It's part of the freaking culture just like chewing tobacco in baseball. I personally loved it and when I saw that my kids saw it I told them that if I caught them doing it they would have a nice meeting with my belt. When my daughter asked why it was OK for the guy to do it I simply responded, "he's a grown man, he can do what he wants. And when you're grown and out of my house you can do the same."
