Mason Crosby’s sprained ankle could put the Packers in the market to sign a kicker for Saturday night’s preseason opener at Cleveland. Crosby sustained a sprained ankle on a kickoff in practice last Friday, was unable to participate in Saturday night’s abbreviated scrimmage, and did not practice Monday or Tuesday. He’s the only kicker on the Packers’ roster. “We’ll kind of see how it goes over the next couple of days,†General Manager Ted Thompson said. The Packers have not said whether Crosby injured the ankle on his kicking or plant leg. He’s attended practice this week and has not exhibited a limp.
