The Packers placed six players on injured reserve, two on reserve/physically unable to perform, and released two others on Monday. The team placed RB Du’ane Bennett, LB Desmond Bishop, TE DeMarco Cosby, OG Ray Dominguez, DE Johnny Jones and WR Shaky Smithson on injured reserve. TE Andrew Quarless (still recovering from a serious knee injury suffered late last season) and LB Frank Zombo (who has been hampered by a hamstring injury since spring) were placed on the reserve/PUP list, meaning they aren't eligible to play for the first six weeks of the NFL regular season. In addition, Green Bay released FB Jon Hoese and DE Jarius Wynn. Source: Pro Football Weekly
