Packers President Mark Murphy fully expected that Judge Susan Nelson would rule in favor of the players initially, but once the appeals process has been completed, Murphy is confident that the owners will prevail. Although players were allowed to at least enter team facilities on Tuesday (though they weren’t able to use equipment or training facilities) not a single Packer player showed up. Murphy told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “If the players had shown up today, we would’ve invited them in,†he said. “I would’ve sat down with them and explained the situation, that we filed a motion and we’re waiting to hear back from the judge.†Murphy also went on to say that a decision could be reached by Friday, which would be right in the middle of the NFL Draft. If free agency would begin at that time, it would cause “unnecessary chaos†according to Murphy. Source: Football News Now
Owners have been positive all along they would win every case, they haven't had a positive ruling yet.
