The Green Bay Packers have signed receiver Jake Allen off their practice squad to replace injured Brett Swain, an NFL source said. Allen, 24, spent all last season and the first six games this year on their practice squad. With Swain out and receiver Jordy Nelson expected to miss several more weeks because of a knee injury, Allen will be the Packers’ No. 4 receiver.

They should not have cut Kole Heckendorf during the last cuts before the season started. He was a strong route runner with good hands. He was more of a receiver who could pick up that first down yardage when needed.

Sometimes I just don't get TT. They have all sorts of money under the cap, and there are some pretty decent, experienced free agent receivers out there...why not pick one of them up?

I don't think there are that many out there right now n1.

But I feel your pain on the cap thing...

I'm still pondering what our draft spot will be dude...
