Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin is reporting that Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has confirmed he's fractured his collarbone. Wilde quoted Rodgers saying it's a "difficult injury because there's not a specific type of rehab you can do." Rodgers is hopeful he won't be out for too long. "I've been a quick healer in the past and am hopeful this will be on the short end of whatever prognosis comes up." Source: @jasonwilde, Twitter.com SteveRobWhatever's Take: The good news is that surgery won't be required. However, the Packers still don't have a timetable on how long he'll be out. It looks like they are simply going to ride it out and hope if heals quickly. Seneca Wallace will likely remain the starter but there are rumors Matt Flynn might be in play as a free agent. If there's one system he played well in, it was in Green Bay.
Crap has hit the fan when the hope is for Matt Flynn to come save your offense. Crazier stuff has happened though lol
Just read on twitter that the packers have only had 3 qbs start a game since brett favre started playing for GB. No wonder the sustained success from the franchise for the pasy decade or so. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
with wallace under center, it's hard to imagine them still being above .500 if rodgers misses 6 games. i would think they would be 7-7 after that stretch and 9 wins is probably not going to get a playoff spot in the NFC North this season so they may just want to shut him down if that's where they are at.
