Last week, Aaron Rodgers thought the NFL’s replacement officials were under an unfair level of scrutiny. On Tuesday, after seeing how a replacement crew did in Sunday’s 30-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Green Bay Packers quarterback revised his position, Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin reports. “They’re under a lot of scrutiny, and the one’s we had last week deserved the scrutiny,†Rodgers said during his weekly radio show on 540 ESPN and ESPNWisconsin.com Tuesday afternoon. “You have to understand the rules.†While Rodgers was cautious not to say anything that could get him fined by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, he suggested that the replacement officials simply didn’t know the rules as well as the players whom they were judging. “You have to try to curtail some of your frustration I think. It’s just frustrating when you’re positive that there’s either a missed call, or that the rule was not interpreted the way that it’s supposed to be interpreted,†Rodgers said. “There were multiple instances of that, and when you watch the film back it’s frustrating. That being said, there were just some bizarre calls on both sides. Anybody who watches the TV copy, I mean I saw it from the sidelines, but we scored a touchdown on a legit (illegal) block in the back. I don’t know what happened on that. It has to hopefully get better.†Source: The Redzone
Shut up Aaron, you were all about the poor refs...until your team got a bad call...just shut up....the 49ers got the brunt of ridiculous calls and non calls.
imagine during the playoffs and heaven forbid the Super Bowl. They will be so intimidated by the enormous pressure. Buckle up folks it is going to be a doozy. At least be consistent.
This has always been my main beef when it comes to the Packers. Before my blood starts to boil though, i'll stop where i'm at while I have the chance.
