Matt Flynn didn’t throw anything more than short, dump-off passes on Sunday, but there’s a decent chance the Green Bay Packers’ backup quarterback could return from his bruised shoulder and play in Thursday’s preseason finale at Tennessee. Flynn threw 20 to 25 passes during the one-hour, jog-through practice. Those were his first throws since he bruised his right shoulder on Aug. 22 against Buffalo. “I was just kind of tossing (the ball), breaking it in and seeing how it felt,†Flynn said. “It feels pretty good, not 100 percent, but it’s getting there. I’ve got to see what kind of progress I make, but I feel like if I keep making the progress I have been, then I’ll be ready,†Flynn said. Source: Green Bay Press Gazette
