With Packers rookie running back Johnathan Franklin not showing any "wow" factor yet, fellow rookie runner Eddie Lacy "figures to get most of the carries," reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Franklin is "tough and quick, but has struggled making headway between the tackles partially due to size," the report said. The paper said Lacy is a lock to make the team, and that Franklin and DuJuan Harris are good bets. James Starks, Alex Green and John Kuhn are fighting for two roster spots, according to the report. He will get the most carries, til he goes down in week 3. Then he will be back right in time for the playoffs and have to sit behind another RB, who isn't even on the roster yet. - Typical life as a GB RB....
I dont know where he gets this injury prone label, he played a little banged up but i dont think he even missed any time
Isnt that the whole reason why they drafted Lacy? I fully expect him to get most of the carries and for the Packers to rely on him and a power running game in an attempt for force defenses to put more defenders in the box, which opens up the opportunity for Rodgers to make plays with his legs and opens up the playaction pbutt. Lacy probably will get hurt at some point in time but thats the reality of life as a running back in the NFL.
