The Green Bay Packers running back sat out Wednesday's practice with a knee injury and won't see the field for a "couple of weeks," coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Wednesday, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Starks sprained his knee in a Week 3 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and hasn't practiced since.

SteveRobWhatever's Take: The Packers are getting Eddie Lacy back this week and he's got the chance to take the starting spot from Starks here. Fellow rookie Jonathan Franklin opened some eyes against the Bengals two weeks ago too. It seems like the 1-2 punch they envisioned when they drafted Lacy and Franklin might be primed to strut their stuff.

yep, they are fortunate lacy is ready to come back or they would have been very thin in their backfield. these kids are still pretty young so i'm expecting we will see some mistakes from them, but fortunately for them, they are playing against the Lions defense, which will make their jobs that much easier.
