With neither Jeremy Kapinos nor Durant Brooks doing anything to distinguish themselves in the battle for the Packers' punting job, don't be surprised if the team works the waiver wire diligently in pursuit of possible punters that might foot the bill. Two teams we hear the Packers could be watching closely are Denver, where incumbent P Brett Kern is engaged in a dogfight with rookie free agent Britton Colquitt, and Jacksonville, where veterans Adam Podlesh and Steve Weatherford have been battling it out. He played for the Packers in 2006 and 2007 and was cutted in favour of Derrick Frost, a guy who was released from the Redskins and lasted only one game :icon_frown:
And if I remember correctly, he was in the top 10 for Punt Ave & Net Punt at the time he got cut for "Inconsistent Hangtime". Good punters are in short supply and the Packers dropped the ball there/
You're right andy. They said Frost had a better hanging time, but the main reason Ryan got booted was bc he wasn't a TT guy
