Packers Top Cowboys As 'America's Team' In National Survey

A new national survey released Wednesday has found what Green Bay Packers fans have been saying for years: The Pack is "America's Team." Public Policy Polling, which normally conducts surveys on politicians and issues, sometimes throws in a few questions about sports. In its most recent survey, conducted Friday through last Sunday, survey respondents nationwide were asked to name their most favorite team in the National Football League. A total of 22 percent said the Green Bay Packers, far outdistancing the second most favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, which got 11 percent. After the Cowboys, 8 percent each named the Chicago Bears, the New York Giants and the Steelers.

So basically America is a bandwagon fan. Fantastic.

 

Personally, I'd of always said that Green Bay was America's team. I don't understand how the Cowboys ever were.

But the bottom line is yeah, America is full of band wagoners.

 

Yeah, it's whoever is winning at the time. The most dominant team. The title has never left Dallas though regardless of who has won the poll.

 

I bet if you did a most hated poll Dallas would be at or near the top too. So the entire "America's Team" thing is ridiculous anyways. If Cowboys fans actually take pride in it then that's too bad.

 

I only take pride in being a Cowboys fan who can be a realist. I've never called Dallas America's team. And of course we would be the most hated. If you don't love the cowboys, you hate them. We're like the Yankees... although we shouldn't be. That whole "Dallas buys talent thing" doesn't happen. What talent besides T.O. have we bought? Gerald Sensabaugh and Abram Elam? lol. We just draft really well, or we have some ballin' undrafted free agents..

 

I give "Americas Team" to the Cowgirlz. We are the "Worlds Team"

The world doesn't care about the NFL, no matter how hard Goodell tries to make it.

 

Its long overdo the cowboys have not been good enough to be called americas team since the 90s.

So next year is a national survey going to decide that "Just Win, Baby" should be the Saints slogan

Or that we should dig up Sid Luckmans corpse and burry it in Giants Stadius with Jimmy Hoffa?
