Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb will miss six to eight weeks after suffering a fractured fibula in Green Bay’s 19-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He was injured in the second quarter after he was hit in the knee by Ravens safety Matt Elam. Source: Sports Illustrated SteveRobWhatever's Take: The hit by rookie Matt Elam has sparked a major debate today. The NFL will really have to start enforcing some sort of strike zone where hits are allowed. It's the only way to appease the injury concerns.
This is a big loss for the Packers but it is what it is. Defensive players are in a lose lose situation. If you go high, you're risking giving someone a concussion. If you go low, you're risking tearing up someones knees.
I'd say at this point its a win-win for defensive players.. you go low, get the stop and take the guy out for the rest of the game, which helps your team too lol
I can't argue that point. I just find it amusing that now the NFL is encouraging the players to go low, players are still snitching and complaining. That's the part where I find it to be a lose lose for defensive players.
