According to a league source, Carolina claimed Packers rookie running back Tyrell Sutton off waivers. There was optimism Sutton would clear waivers because he's a short back who lacks elite speed. But the Panthers have injury issues, with backup Jonathan Stewart battling an Achilles injury and questionable for Week 1, and obviously, they saw enough of Sutton on tape to give him a chance.
