Panthers middle linebacker Jon Beason may have a torn left Achilles' tendon, Steve Reed of CarolinaGrowl.com reports. Beason underwent surgery less than three weeks ago to alleviate tendonitis in that same ankle, and was listed as "Questionable" on the team's injury report on Friday. Beason was injured while covering Arizona Cardinals tight end Jeff King in the third quarter of the Panthers' 28-21 loss on Sunday, with King scoring a 48-yard touchdown on the play. Beason will undergo an MRI on Monday. A Pro Bowler after each of the last three seasons, Beason signed a five-year, $50 million contract extension that included $25 million in guarantees in late July. Source: Mac's Football Blog
