Cam Newton hit Ted Ginn for a go-ahead touchdown with 59 seconds to play and the Carolina Panthers knocked off New England 24-20 on Monday Night Football. With four seconds to play and at the Carolina 18-yard line, Brady fired a last-ditch pass towards the endzone which was intercepted and referees initially threw flags on the play, presumably for pass interference, but picked it up after a discussion and ruled there was no penalty on the play. Source: SBNation.com SteveRobWhatever's Take: It was a prime-time matchup that lived up to the hype. Cam Newton had a game winning drive against a strong opponent on the big stage. This will shut some of the critics up for now. The Panthers showed they are ready for the big stage tonight, but the non-call at the end of the day is what everyone is going to be talking about. I say it sucks to be the Patriots, but them's the breaks...just ask the Raiders.
Ok. I just got done watching this game. That was the highest quality of football i have seen this season. It was extremely well played on both sides. The patriots offensive game plan of a power run game between the tackles and short, quick passes worked great against a small, fast defense. I believe the pats only punted once all night. The panthers offense just wouldn't quit and kept drives going, keeping Brady off the field. That was the most enjoyable game of the year for me because of the high quality of play on both sides
