According to Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason, there's no way free agent Terrell Owens could play for Carolina. “There’s no way T.O. could be a Panther,â€￾ Beason said. “Based on the fact that our ownership and coaches believe that the locker room is important and based on T.O.’s history, for whatever reason, he’s been a distraction in the locker room.â€￾ Owens spent last season with the Buffalo Bills where he had 55 receptions for 829 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Holy crap! If TO was in a Panthers uniform this season, I'd go to a game. People who didn't even like the Panthers would go to their games just to see TO. I am all for TO coming to Carolina. We need another "old man" WR to teach the little WRs like Dwayne Jarrett.

TO is a horrible mentor. You want to teach your young receivers to drop balls and treat your teammates like crap?

He was relatively quiet in Buffalo last year. Since Steve Smith is the oldest WR on the roster, they need someone to mentor the WRs. Just because someone isn't as good as he was, doesn't mean he can't teach others to be as good or better. Just because one lacks in practice, doesn't mean his theory lacks.

:icon_rolleyes: it's not that he can't teach them, but TO is not about the team and he won't teach them. And the only reason why he was quiet in Buffalo is because he was there for a year, if he signed for a longer contract his mouth would be wider than the Grand Canyon.

Who said the Panthers would sign him for any longer?

No one did, but you missed my point apparently. TO is all about himself, bringing him in for a year to "teach" young guys is pointless because the only thing he does is take snaps away from those developing guys. Teaching younger guys doesn't help TO's ego.

The guys who are developing need a year or two to develop anyway. I'm saying that they need to sign him and hope for the best. Why did we really bring in Keyshawn Johnson? He was also old, like TO. He used to play awesome, also like TO.

Works for the Raiders, they have DHB to teach drop passes and Al Davis to treat everyone like crap. Sign TO for only a year and his shenanigans are eliminated.
