Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has torn his right knee ACL torn three times and he is hoping to play this season. Panthers coach Ron Rivera says Davis is progressing well, the Associated Press reports. Davis met with Dr. James Andrews this week and received a "very positive report" and may increase his workload at next week's three-day minicamp, the team's final work before the start of training camp. Davis has been participating solely in individual drills during Carolina's organized team activities the past three weeks.
