During rumors and rumblings that Panthers veteran wide receiver Steve Smith may want out of Carolina at a time when the team may be mired in an extended rebuilding process, there are now rumors that Smith's house is on the market. The 10,000-square foot mansion, built and bought by Smith in 2007, has a reported asking price of $2.9 million. Smith has recently criticized struggling rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen, suggested after the team's 31-10 loss on Sunday to the Falcons that Clausen has “a lot to learn†about playing in the NFL. Smith is on pace for career lows in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns since becoming the full-time starter in 2002.
