Paramedics Treat Injured Chain-Crew Member In New Orleans

Discussion in 'New Orleans Saints' started by BigBlueBruiser, Oct 24, 2010.

  1. Paramedics rushed to the aid of a member of the officiating sideline chain crew, giving him intravenous fluids and carting him off the field after he was knocked down during Sunday's game between the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints. The Saints identified the injured man as Al Nastasi. New Orleans' Courtney Roby was running at full speed after a Saints punt when he was shoved out of bounds and collided with Nastasi, whose condition wasn't immediately available. Nastasi appeared to be conscious, but he wasn't moving as he was taken from the field.

I saw Roby was flagged for the contact on NFL's play-by-play, does anyone know what that was about? This makes it sound like accidental contact.

He was flagged for running out of bounds and not trying to come back on the field.

I guess he's not the first one getting injured while beeing on the sideline. A lot of photographers and cameramen has been run over several times....
