Paternity Test Clears Steve McNair As Girl's Father

Former Titans quarterback Steve McNair is not the father of a 17-year-old girl as alleged by a Mississippi woman who filed a claim against his estate, McNair's representatives say. A paternity test has shown the former gridiron star did not father the girl, said Lou Taylor, of Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group, spokesman for McNair's estate. Handlers of his estate anticipated there would be potential claims against his fortune, which has been valued at about $19.6 million. "Very early on it was apparent there would be additional heirs,'' Taylor said. "We took every precaution necessary to be able to provide accurate information for potential claims."
