Rob Ninkovich apparently is going to stay with the Patriots through the 2016. The defensive end, whose contract was due to expire at the end of this season, has agreed to a contract extension through 2016, it is being reported by Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com. Ninkovich is making $1.4 million this season, a bargain for a player who contributes as much as he does. The Purdue grad is one of success stories, a guy who was cut by both New Orleans and Miami before coming to New England. The Patriots had more than $10 million in available cap space this season.
