The Boston Globe is reporting that Patriots second-year cornerback Alfonzo Dennard -- who was arrested for suspicion of DUI last Thursday and slipped to the seventh round in the 2012 draft thanks to a previous arrest for assaulting a police officer -- will not be released by the team. The Patriots do, however, expect Denanrd to be suspended by the NFL under the player conduct policy. Dennard, 23, played in 10 games for New England last year, starting seven. He had 35 tackles and three interceptions, scoring a touchdown on an 87-yard pickoff in Week 11. Source: CBSSports
Having lived in Lincoln, Ne. for four years, I'm almost certain they're probably covering his arrest on the nightly news to this day.
