Alfonzo Dennard's probation-violation hearing, originally scheduled for today in Lincoln, Neb., has been postponed to Sept. 6, according to The Lincoln Journal-Star and other media outlets. That's two days before the Patriots open their regular season in Buffalo. Dennard was sentenced in April to 30 days in prison for assaulting a police officer in April 2012, just before that year's NFL Draft. The sentence allowed Dennard to put off his jail time until after the 2013 season. It included two years' probation.
