Locked in a close game with the New Orleans Saints, the New England Patriots were hit with an untimely injury, as top cornerback Aqib Talib was forced to leave the game with a hip injury. The 27-year-old has been lining up with—and shutting down—top receivers all season, and on Sunday, he held dangerous tight end Jimmy Graham to zero catches in the first half. Source: SBNation.com SteveRobWhatever's Take: Talib signed a 'prove it' deal with the Patriots and so far he has. He's going to command some hefty money come this offseason and you wonder if the Patriots are going to pay up to keep him or let him be a hired gun elsewhere. I think it would be in Talib's best interests to re-sign, but who knows if he'd come down on his demands.
