The Patriots claimed defensive tackle A.J. Francis off Waivers Sunday from the Miami Dolphins and Braxton Cave from the Cleveland Browns. An undrafted free agent out of Maryland, the 6-foot-5, 309-pound Francis will become the fourth defensive tackle on New England’s roster, behind Vince Wilfork, Tommy Kelly and Joe Vellano. Francis recorded 20.5 tackles for a loss and 9.5 sacks over four seasons at Maryland. The 6-foot-3, 303-pound Cave played center at the University of Notre Dame. Source: MassLive.com
