The Patriots have released wide receiver Austin Collie. It's possible the move is a good sign for the health of Kenbrell Thompkins, who has missed three games with a hip injury. The Pats released Collie earlier this season but re-signed him a month later when he recovered from his knee injury. He's had three catches for 29 yards in his second stint.
