At 36, Patriots LB Tedy Bruschi has acknowledged he doesn't know how much longer he's going to play but will the end of Bruschi's time in New England come even before the kickoff of this season. ESPN's Tim Graham reports that Bruschi might not make the 53-man roster unless there's an injury and that he has been working with the second-teamers lately in practice and did not start Thursday night's preseason game, stepping aside for Gary Guyton. Boston Globe writer Mike Reiss projects Bruschi will make the team in his latest analysis of the Patriots' roster but he concedes that Bruschi "could also face uphill climb for spot." he won't get cut...he may see a big decline in snaps, but it would be foolish to cut a guy like Tedy. He plays for short money, can fill in when needed, and the knowledge and leadership that he brings to the younger players is huge. They will not field a defense without Rodney, Vrable, and Brushi in the same season.
lol someday they are gonna have to....guys step up, they dont have to be ancient to be a leader that being said the patriots cutting him would be a smack in the face, they would at least ask him to retire....i cant see someone slipping a notice under his door
I really don't see him not playing for the Pats this year, that being said, I think this is his final season
his leadership alone on a team thats defense is transitioning makes him worth a roster spot. I think this is his last rodeo, but I see him making the team this year
So he'll retire before he will play anywhere else? **********Automerged Doublepost********** Even I could play that game... :beersign:
Well we are becoming a combo of the NE Pats and the LSU Tigers. He would still sort of be playing for the same team... :icon_lol:
I know, but I was referring to our last 3 first draft picks and the changes that Pioli has brought. It was more of a joke to Harvs than anything else.
