Right tackle Sebastian Vollmer missed practice for the second straight day according to Field Yates of ESPN Boston. Vollmer sprained his foot against the Buccaneers last weekend and was forced to the bench for the second half. Word is the injury is not serious and Vollmer could still play on Sunday if he is able to practice by Friday. Marcus Cannon replaced Vollmer last week and would likely be the starter in the event that Vollmer can’t play on Sunday night. Cannon has done well for the Patriots whenever called upon in the past couple of years and is likely a better option than a severely-limited Vollmer would be. The Patriots may exercise caution in this scenario and not risk further injury to Vollmer. Source:The Redzone
