The Patriots have shown no signs of turning Tim Tebow’s NFL career around in the preseason, but their owner would like to see the controversial quarterback make the team.

Kraft said Tuesday via Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com: “I’m rooting for him big-time. He’s been real joy to have around. I see why he has such a strong national following,†Kraft said. “I’m rooting 4 him big-time. He’s been real joy 2 have around. I see why he has such a strong national followingâ€

Kraft made it clear that whether or not Tebow makes the Patriots’ final roster cuts is up to head coach Bill Belichick.

“He has a pretty good record doing it,†Kraft said.

Tebow could make the team if Belichick and his staff elect to keep a third quarterback behind Ton Brady and Ryan Mallett, though they did not take that path last season. Tebow’s fate could also rest in the Patriots’ number crunching at other positions, such as running backs or receivers.

We all laugh at his lack of football prowess but it's hard to find anyone who doesn't like this kid. If he wants to be around football so bad, hope someone takes him under their wing & keeps him around the league. Can always use another 'good guy' in the mix.

Not like there's only 'on field' football involvement...
