The Patriots released cornerback Terrence Johnson Tuesday, according to the team's Twitter page. Johnson was never really a threat to make the roster. His release coupled with trips to the IR for Darryl Richard (foot), safety Bret Lockett (chest), cornerback Leigh Bodden (knee) and safety Josh Barrett (shoulder) drops the Pats roster from 80 to 75.
