Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports the Patriots have released veteran running back Sammy Morris. Morris is a highly-respected veteran, but appeared to have nothing left last season, carrying the ball 20 times for just 56 yards. In the league since 2000, he's gone for 2,955 yards and 26 touchdowns on 708 career carries. It's quite possible he's played his final down. Source: The Redzone
