Patriots WR Wes Welker "Doing Very Well" In Recovery From ACL Surgery

Discussion in 'New England Patriots' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 25, 2010.

  1. Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker just crossed the three-week threshold since knee surgery to repair a torn left anterior cruciate ligament. According to a league source familiar with the Patriots All-Pro wide receiver's recovery process, Welker is "doing very well," at this early stage. While the early news is extremely encouraging with Welker, counting on him to make it back for the start of the 2010 season remains an unrealistic proposition.

    Cletusaurus YES! YES! YES!

He'll start the year on the PUP list... although there are a lot of Patriots fans saying that maybe he should look into the idea of sitting out 2010 just to be 100% sure on how his knee is going to hold up. The way he moves, jukes, dances, and cuts on a dime is going to be severely impacted now.
