When the Patriots open their mandatory minicamp in June, franchised wide receiver Wes Welker says he won't be there. Welker is looking for a long-term contract and doesn't like being tagged with the one-year offer for $9.5 million. He already has missed the start of offseason workouts with the team. "I'm thinking I'm probably not going to, but things could change," Welker told ESPN. "It's really not a route I thought I'd ever take, because it's not me.
