People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants Michael Vick to undergo psychiatric evaluation to determine whether he is truly rehabilitated before Roger Goodell considers reinstatement. PETA also warns that unless Vick proves he has changed, the group and its large following will direct protests at him and any team that signs him if he is allowed to play again. "The guy has been very dishonest about everything from the beginning," said Dan Shannon, assistant director of campaigns for PETA. "He lied to the Falcons, to (Atlanta owner) Arthur Blank, to commissioner Goodell according to media reports, to the media and to fans as long as he could. Only a fully trained psychologist can put him through a rigorous examination to get to the bottom (of whether) this guy really thinks what he did is wrong." Source: New York Daily News
Rofl, for once I am glad they are getting involved in this. I say we let Michael Vick fight these dogs that they trained to fight .. if he wins then he plays. Then we repeat it every season for the next four years. ;x
:icon_rolleyes: I won't start the same old argument about players who hurt and killed people are free to keep playing, and a guy who killed freakin' dogs is getting such a hard time to get reinstated (and who already did time in prison, BTW). Vick has payed his debt to society. Let him be.
PETA is only all about picking high profile cases, they never get involved in local SPCA crap, they need to taken out. MVick has paid his debt, leave the dude alone PETA, they are as annoying as a barking dog.
