PETA Upset Over Madden '12 Possible Cover With Eagles QB Michael Vick

Michael Vick has advanced to the Sweet 16 of fan voting to determine who will grace the cover of Madden 2012. That news has the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sour, to the point they want Vick eliminated from the tournament. "I can tell you we've already received the letters from our good friends at PETA urging us to take him out of the bracket," EA Sports president Peter Moore said at the World Congress of Sports in Miami. "I personally believe, and this is personal commentary right now, that Michael served his time. He's had a tremendous season." Moore went on to say the selection of the players was based purely on picking good, popular players from all 32 NFL teams. PETA should probably align itself with another interested party: Fans for the Success of the Philadelphia Eagles. Knowing the Madden cover jinx, the last thing Philly faithful wants to see is their often banged-up superstar quarterback on the cover again.
