Peyton Manning and the majority of the Indianapolis Colts' starting offense probably won't play in Thursday night's preseason finale at Cincinnati. Yet there's work to be done in preparation for the Sept. 13 regular-season opener against Jacksonville in Lucas Oil Stadium. The offensive line still is transitioning from Tony Ugoh to Charlie Johnson at left tackle, and Manning still is working on his timing -- and confidence -- with young receivers Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon and rookie backup running back Donald Brown. "I think we need to use these last two weeks of practice right up until the Jacksonville game to improve, to figure out what personnel is going to be in there on certain downs and distances, and get our rotation at the wide receiver position," Manning said Tuesday. "I still feel like we're in training camp mode and still using every day." Source: Indianapolis Star
