In the tension-packed moments before the Giants try to get off the deck against the Big Bad Bears and honor the 30 incoming members of their Ring of Honor, they will receive a message that is likely to send chills down their spines, and inspire more than a few of them. The Post has learned that Plaxico Burress, just over one year into his prison sentence for violating New York gun laws, will be watching his Giants on television for the very first time. Giants co-owner Steve Tisch intends on informing Giants players about his "uplifting" first visit yesterday to the Oneida Correctional Facilty in Rome, N.Y. Asked what his message would be, Tisch said: "I'd love Plaxico to know that part of why we want to win tonight's game is for him." So the Giants should win one for the legends, and now they should win one for their fallen comrade, prisoner 09R3260. "He's just so excited to watch the game tomorrow," Tisch said. "He said the way it works, there's a committee of two or three people who decide what the greater population gets to watch on TV, and ironically and fortuitously, one of the things they picked was the Giants-Bears game." Burress has been able to listen to portions of Giants games on radio and he has been in contact with several teammates, including Osi Umenyiora, Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. It's got to be real hard once he actually see them playing. It's kind of like out of sight out of mind and then boom...they are right there playing and you're not a part of it. I think the Giants take them...
Plax would give nothing more to be out there for this one..... I've been on edge all week for this game....I believe we'll feed off of the emotions surrounding this game and pull this one out.
