If you had any doubt about the tone of the NFLPA meetings in Maui, well, this ought to clear it up. The players have one thing on their mind, and that is the steadfast belief that the owners have little to no interest in negotiating a collective bargaining agreement with them. The way they see it, they’re 12 months away from the inevitable, a lockout. “Everyone believes it. It’s not a strike. It’s a lockout," said Chicago Bears wide receiver Rashied Davis, an alternate player representative. "The owners are the ones. We want to play. That is what the players want to do. Owners don’t want to let us play, so they are planning to lock us out." Source: Yahoo Sports
Let us not get this mixed up...i'm sure it is the player that "wants to play" but are also way too greedy for their own good. Isn't there another thread on here talking about the disagreement between owners/players over retirement benefits??? So because these idiots don't know how to invest and save money they want more after retiring? How about saving some money? Finish college after retirement...you should have the money to. Noooo they want more benefits because they are too goobered to PLAN AHEAD!!! Give me a million dollars today and I can retire for the rest of my life...and i'm only 26...I'd get rid of debt and live off the rest very comfortably!
No football in 2011, and then the the world will end in December the following year, fml. You gotta win it this year Pittsburgh.
