For anyone who is interested, here are the regular season records for each playoff team when they went up against the better teams in the league (teams that finished .500 or better). As a reference point, last year the 2 SB participants went a combined 16-3 during the regular season against .500 or better competition.............

    Patriots 7-1
    Eagles 5-2
    Falcons 5-3
    Packers 4-3
    Ravens 4-3
    Colts 4-4
    Bears 4-4
    Saints 4-4
    Steelers 3-4
    Jets 2-4
    Chiefs 2-4
    Seahawks 2-6

apparently this theory held no merit since 3 of the 4 winners over the weekend had worse winning %'s in the regular season against good teams .......... :icon_eek:
