BALTIMORE — The Patriots may not be what they used to be, but yesterday they proved they may not have to be. They limped into Charm City battered and broken, their defense missing four starters, their offensive line without either of the tackles they began the season with, their interior defensive front filled with so many street free agents it looked like a Tuesday afternoon workout session every time the defense trotted onto the field at M&T Bank Stadium.
