There's been some discussion the last few days about a rule change in MLB that could take place next year. Say a team has runners at first and third. The pitcher fakes a throw to third, but quickly throws to first, hoping to catch the runner on first off the bag for an out. Next year, that play could be called a balk, unless the pitcher steps off the rubber first. Thoughts?
Should have been changed a while ago. It's "unfair" to left-handed pitchers because they can't do the same, fake to first and throw to third or it's a balk.
Lefties get to look right at a base runner on first. Just so it's the same, if a man gets on first we should make them wear glasses that obscures the base runner, but if they look over their shoulder, you can see him in a mirror. Then it's just like the right handers.
You see that my post that was obviously intended to be ridiculous is actually ridiculous. You're halfway there.
