    Chad Jones-Adrian Wilson
    Mardy Gilyard-Santonio Holmes

    Sam Bradford-Alex Smith
O'Brien Schofield-Karlos Dansby...someone will get a steal later on since he'll have to go on IR as a rookie
    Ciron Black=Gosder Cherilus
    Vlad Ducasse - Khalif Barnes

    thoughts on any?

Right....I do this in my scouting reports anyway!!

    QB
Jimmy Clausen = Drew Brees (if he gets smarter, obviously)
Sam Bradford = Matt Hasselbeck (younger) or Chad Pennington pre surgery
Tony Pike = Sage Rosenfels (solid game manager but lacks arm strength of NFL starter)
Tim Tebow = Byron Leftwich (but more athletic)
Jevan Snead = Rex Grossman (awesome arm strength, questionable accuracy and decision making)

    RB
Jahvid Best = Chris Johnson (not as fast though)
Jonathan Dwyer = Marion Barber III (tough, physical, inside runner with unexpected speed)
Anthony Dixon = Steven Jackson (but slower - but both have great hands for big guys)
CJ Spiller = Reggie Bush (almost identical in skill set)
Toby Gerhart = Mike Alstott (you know he's gonna hit you, but DAMN!!)

    WR
Brandon LaFell = Muhsin Muhammed (But quicker and smaller)
Golden Tate = Torry Holt (IF he gets better at running routes. Same from a size/speed/ball skills standpoint)
Demaryius Thomas = Brandon Marshall (Marshall is a lot better at YAC but Thomas is a more willing blocker)
Damian Williams = Torry Holt (again - but Williams is an elite route runner)

I don't do linemen, I just suck at scouting them. I'll do defense another time (maybe)

interesting...i like when people compare lafell to someone besides bowe.

tate is more like a hines ward to me, he gets alot of steve smith comparisons but thats just false in every directions

i think gerhart is alot like laron mcclain, hes a better runner than blocker but we be used at FB anyway...but alstott makes just as much sense. he'll get leonard and hester comparisons because hes white but hes a runner, they are 3rd down recievers.

    few more from me

    Clausen-Cutler
    Mccoy-Pennington

    Keiland Williams-Michael Turner

    JPP-Kearse

Tate isn't really as physical as Ward, he's more of a finesse guy who will try and dodge a tackler and maximize the yardage than Ward, who is safe and takes the hit with the ball secure, guaranteeing a first down. But from a size/speed/hands comparison, it's about right. (2bh Ward - physicality = Holt)

    andy82 Your Soul, It's Mine!

I would put CJ Spiller more towards LaDainian Tomlinson than Reggie Bush. Sure he has Bush's versitility but he runs like LT.

  6. Jihad Joe

    Jihad Joe Life to Infidels

    Ciron Black= Phil Loadholdt

    Markice Pouncey= Jason Brown

Earl Thomas = Better version of Antrel Rolle (alot of UT guys rave about his man coverage)

    Golden Tate= Santonio Holmes

    Arellious Benn= Mile Austin

    Toby Gearhert= Tim Hightower

    Joe Haden= Mike Jenkins

    Terrence Cody= Ted Washington/Gilbert Brown

    Dan Williams= Shaun Rogers

    Torrel Troup= Johnny Jolly

    Cam Thomas= Paul Soliai

Because I'm meant to be working:

    DE
Jason Pierre-Paul = Robert Mathis (but a bit bigger and very raw)
Derrick Morgan = Aaron Kampman or Patrick Kerney
Corey Wooton = Richard Seymour (but less athletic)
Carlos Dunlap = Mario Williams (much much worse and without the amazing work ethic)
Everson Griffen = Justin Tuck (Big and physical with sneaky athleticism)

I suck at linemen but I thought I'd put that in ^^. Skipping DTs.

    LB
Sean Weatherspoon = Lance Briggs/Ernie Sims (A little of both)
Jerry Hughes = Elvis Dumervil (2009 season - Hughes has better size but Dumervil is better vs run)
Micah Johnson = EJ Henderson (physical approach and can cover a lot of the center field)
Rolando McClain = D'Qwell Jackson (amazing vs the run and great fit for the 3-4 ILB)
Brandon Spikes = Barrett Ruud (tackling machine but will get exposed in man coverage and short zones)

    CB
Brandon Ghee = Al Harris (physical corner who plays the run well - Ghee needs better coaching to refine technique, but has more raw athleticism than Harris)
Joe Haden = Leon Hall (same size, speed and physicality. Questionable instincts sometimes)
Trevard Lindley = Marcus Trufant (comfortable in press coverage and nice balls skills. Needs to put on some muscle - 177lbs)
Donovan Warren = Asante Samuel/Dunta Robinson (man-to-man specialist who makes plays on the ball. Can occasionally backfire. Not as athletic as Samuel or physical as Robinson)
Ras-I Dowling = Nnamdi Asomugha (from a height/weight/speed perspective. Potentially great.)
Perrish Cox = Jason David (will excel in the right scheme, but could be disastrous)

    S
Eric Berry = Ed Reed (Elite playmaker and range)
Nate Allen = Nick Collins (Always finds a way to make plays. Safe in deep zone)
Taylor Mays = Roy Williams (basically an extra linebacker with limited coverage skills - Mays is faster but less intelligent)

  8. CStevenson13

    CStevenson13 1st Stringer

    Gilyard=Holmes was spot on K-Train!

    Damian Williams=Reggie Wayne
    Colin Peek=Brent Celek
    Jacoby Ford=Eddie Royal
Golden Tate=Percy Harvin(not as explosive but better hands)
    Dezmon Briscoe=Hakeem Nicks
    Dennis Pitta=Jason Witten(smaller)
    Jordan Shipley=Brandon Stokley
    Eric Decker=Jason Avant

You can tell what positions i've been studying this year lol

  9. K Train

    K Train Do You Honeycutt?

    Carlos Dunlap=Jamaal Anderson

Dunlap is big and slow...the jamal anderson comparison couldnt be anymore perfect for him. he will have to shift inside at some point and will be a decent DT that gets good pressure but as far as an end rusher id be very surprised. Anderson has been playing on the inside and the falcons do like him there, but the man is a complete failure at DE. i actually think JPP would be a good fit in atlanta playing with abraham, jerry, anderson and being on the end lol

I would actually like dunlap as a 34 end because hes huge like calais campbell and could be stout enough against the run with his 290+ pound frame

  10. Lord_Joe

    Lord_Joe Smiley Bugger

Carlos Dunlap is 6'6", 280lbs, and will probably run a 4.65-4.75 at the combine. That will draw Mario Williams comparisons. Anderson didn't have great combine numbers, and looked overweight. Williams and Dunlap both carry 280lbs well.

    K Train Do You Honeycutt?

i bet he doesnt touch those numbers and weighs in around 290+

JPP will be pulling out the mario and peppers comparisons

  12. Lord_Joe

    Lord_Joe Smiley Bugger

JPP is around 260lbs, I'm looking for more DeMarcus Ware than Mario/Julius. You will probably be suprised at Dunlap's 40. It doesn't show on tape 'cos he's a lazy waste of size and talent. Al Davis will love him though.

Anything else you want to pick up on besides linemen? I'm crap at linemen, as I've previously said!

  13. K Train

    K Train Do You Honeycutt?

micah johnson is more like jasper brinkley i think...another vikings LB

i also think the reason JPP wont be in the demarcus ware catergory is because hes dumb as a brick, maybe dumber. all the RT has to do is spit out some simple divison problems and JPP will chase his own tail. I expect him to be a forgotten name his first few years even though he may go #3 overall, he may blow up one day but his high ceiling doenst make up for his extremely low floor imo.

someone that i think could "demarcus ware" the combine is JPPs counterpart george selvie...he had a down year but watch out, he'll raise his stock and get out of the shadow of the one year wonder JPP

Dunlap came in at 6'6", 277lbs. That's closer to what I said, right? :icon_cheesygrin:

Ghee is bigger hitter than Harris. He was a top-rated WR coming out of high school, but hasn't shown those hands since being in college
