I have to decide between trusting my starter Brees vs. CAR this week or going with my backup Foles against PIT. What would you do?

    Team #3: - (TD Heavy, 14 Teams): 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 FLEX, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF
    Passing: 4 pts/TD - 5 if >40 yds, 3 pts 300-399 yds, 6 pts
    400-499 yds, 10 pts >500 yds. Rushing & Receiving: 6 pts/TD,
    9 pits/TD >40 yds, 1 pt 50-99 yds, 3 pts 100-199 yds,
    6 pts 200+ >yds

Wow. This is actually legitimately a tough call. Pittsburgh seemingly can't stop anyone, so the matchup heavily favors Foles. The argument for Brees is that he is "elite" and "clearly a tier above." Conventional logic says always play your stud players, but does Brees really count as that any more? I'm not so sure, and the Panthers D is legit. I think I'd be very tempted to play Foles, but do you really not have any better waiver options?

Thank you for your thinking - much more important just an answer! As far as the waiver wire goes, this is a 14 team league with required roster spots, e.g., 2 QBs. Therefore there are only four starting QBs to choose from. Care to guess who?

Brees is not getting reps so his shoulder is a problem. He will likely be ready to go Sunday, but is 100%?

I'm leaning Foles more and more.

    ...as crazy as that sounds.

Funny, because I have been thinking the same.
